What is PIT?

The Point in Time (PIT) Count is a volunteer-based event designed to inspire camaraderie, interest and concern for members of our community. On Wednesday, January 22, 2020 volunteers, street outreach workers and homeless service providers will go out to conduct a count of persons experiencing homelessness within Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties. PIT provides a snapshot of how many people are considered homeless in Central Florida and it helps track the national progress towards ending homelessness.

The PIT Count helps us with more than knowing the numbers. It assists us with tailoring the programs and support services we offer to persons experiencing homelessness in our region.
