We advocate to change perception in our community of those experiencing homelessness as well as push pro-housing policies at the local, state, and federal level.
It is up to us, the community at large, to speak out on behalf of our neighbors experiencing homelessness. When the public speaks, our community and elected officials listen. Help the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness make homelessness for our neighbors rare, brief, and a one-time event by adding your voice to the chorus.
We challenge our elected officials on the local, state, and federal level to support policy on housing and homeless services. Learn more about the government officials we interact and partner with by clicking the link below.
We are building community coalitions to tackle important issues, like housing that’s affordable for those considered low-income earners. As an example, this summer we are launching the HOME Team – a coalition of realtors, developers, and community leaders who can help us push for groundbreaking solutions for those struggling to find housing that is stable.
As we continue to outline our policy agenda for 2018-19, you will be hearing more from us and will learn more about how we are advocating on behalf of our neighbors to make homelessness rare, brief, and a one-time event. We also speak to groups and organizations about advocating for those experiencing homelessness.
